The women will end their regular season and last regular season ECAC game at Lynah East on Feb 19. I am hoping we can own the barn just as we do for the men (The Harvard showing this year was particularly pathetic). I hope the band can make it to lead us at the end of this historic regular season. I have my tickets, do you?

Since that night is Senior Night at Lynah, I'd assume the band will be back in Ithaca.  But maybe an alumni band could be organized?

I'm planning to be there, hopefully bringing a few others.  Wasn't expecting a band, but that would be nice.  I'm sure our women would appreciate it.  Any cowbell players in the area?

I will be there with 4 but unfortunately one will be rooting for the Crimson. That should double the number of Crimson fans.

One of my old dorm mates married a Sucks grad, the heart wants what the heart wants. She is a hockey fan but I will endeavor to do my best to explain, using little words, that there is only one hockey team on the ice at this event and that the person in crimson standing in front of the net with all the padding would be better employed straining spaghetti.

Here is the moral dilemma, I was thinking of a modest wager where the fan of the losing side would have to sing the Alma Mater of the winning team. While I have absolutely no doubt that the team would do its part there is always the small chance that the bus could get stuck in a snow drift and and result in a forfeit. I am not sure that I could actually form those words in my mouth or that any amount of single malt Scotch could mask their stench. Should I risk this utter degradation?

What's the upside?  To hear the words of our beautiful Alma Mater profaned by coming out of one of THEIR mouths?  Perish the thought.

Now, if you were going to get something worthwhile out of the deal (read: beer), that's a completely different ball game....

I was thinking about the pain and anguish inflicted on the singer followed by enlightenment as the realize that we have an Alma Mater that is vastly better than theirs. Kind of like the Kafka's "In The Penal Colony". But your point is well taken. I am afraid though that I would be letting her off too easily with beer. I favor humiliation (my wife and I had to sing the bull dog song in front of friends last year as a result of a Cornell Yale hockey game). Perhaps a bottle of 14 year old Oban.

You are correct. Is there some sort of sacrifice that could appease them?

Yeah, but good luck finding a virgin.
