I don't see any threads on this game yet, so I figured I'd start one.
I just want to get it out there that a Cornell happy hour has been set up at a bar near the Prudential Center immediately preceding the game.  Everyone is welcome, and hopefully we can get a lot of CU hockey fans to gather.  Here's the info:

All Cornell alumni, family, and friends are invited to join the Classes of 2004 & 2007 for a pre-game happy hour at
The Spot Bar & Lounge
45 Commerce Street
Newark, New Jersey 07102
November 27, 2010
5:00pm to 7:00pm

Good question, I'm not sure if it is 21+ or not, but I have asked the people who are running it and they are finding out.  Check back for an answer soon.

I'll be there.  Not necessarily at this pregame happy hour at The Spot, but definitely at the game, and presumably at some sort of drinking/eating establishment in the area beforehand and/or afterward.

I finally got the answer - it is a 21+ event.  Sorry for the delay in responding...
The event at The Spot is open to all Alumni, friends and family (who are 21+)

Any word on how ticket sales are going? Im in+7, but i've warned my group to expect a building close to 60% empty.

Everyone connected with the event says ticket sales are going totally fantastic, couldn't be better, StubHub is offering tickets at above-list price, and so forth. The Cornell blue line section is sold out; the next one over at the start of the corner had some left when Cornell sent the allotment back today. Consider also these data points:

At Monday's pinch-me-I'm-dreaming, Brodeur's still injured, 5-0 Devils shutout of Washington (with thousands of empty seats), the Devils announced this deal: Take your ticket stubs to the box office for twenty bucks off each Cornell-Colgate ticket (two stubs, two discounted tickets, and so forth). Maybe it'll work Wednesday, too, which is half-price tix for college students.

VIP suites, two tix for $150 total, including food and beverage. Given that two of us went through $60 in food and drink Monday and didn't eat a lot, that's a deal. Call the Devils' VIP line, 973-757-6847. (They publish the number as 973-757-6VIP - like that's easier to remember.)

Me, I chose the Cornell section at list price over the other two only because I've got a HS senior son and I'm making a last stab at getting Greg to consider Cornell as a safe school. (Safe from his viewpoint - it's safe to say he has an upward battle to get in, so he doesn't have to make a hard choice between Cornell and something more urban that appeals and has Ultimate Frisbee. Oh, wait, so does Cornell.)

Well, it will definitely be a pleasant surprise if theres a nice size crowd there. However, just checked ticketmaster and I can still get 8 seats together at the blue line (lower level) in row 7. So, obviously, I have my doubts.

I'll be there (+4 as of now).  I expect it will be no problem getting decent seats at the gate.

Does anyone know if this game is televised on cable or online? Not abe to leave out of town holiday guests to travel there.

Bill,

Just gotta point out that CU not only has Ultimate Frisbee, but they are ranked in the top 10 in the country and have advanced to the Nationals the past two years. We have a very good team indeed. If Greg isn't quite that good, there is even a respectable B team for him to join. They play in plenty of tournaments and every year several players move up to the main squad.

Buds? Gee, you guys must have all been good friends or something. ::innocent::

Can we still get tickets at the student price from the Prudential Center box office?  I have two for myself but a friend who may want to join at the last second.

Another ranking system to fight over.  **]
