Ah, thanks. I'd see the Yale score, but couldn't find the Brown one... nice.

Beat Princeton and we play Brown in the first round, in Ithaca.  Lose, and we play them again,in Princeton.  Which is in New Jersey.

Tough order if Pannell doesn't play.

5-3 Cornell at the half.  BUT, we had a great shot to go up 6-2, but Hurley put on off the crossbar. Princeton then came down and on an unsettled situation a longstick beat Fiore.  In the last few seconds, Ritchie was stopped after a good opportunity, and then Cornell committed a penalty.  Princeton will have a short man-up to start the 3rd.

We dominated the first number of faceoffs, but Princeton then began taking over at the X in the 2nd.

9-3 after three.  11 of 12 goals scored while attacking to the TV's right.

[Edit:  Now 14 of 15 goals scored to the TV's right.  Sun in the goalie's eyes?]

Cornell's gotta score here.  Can't sit on a three-goal lead.

Cornell hangs on win 10-9 after an awful 4th quarter, but not quite bad enough.

No doubt in my mind, Al.  Stupid 5 PM start - sun was very low.

17 of 19 goals scored at the end of the field to the right.  Ah, the joys of scheduling for TV.

Nice pick up, though. Thanks Al.

If anybody is interested in watching the game after the fact (perhaps because they had to attend a relative's surprise birthday party) it is streaming for free on ESPN 360.

We noticed it at the game.  Not only was the sun right in Fiore's eyes, but you could see that every Princeton shot was heading for the upper corner to Fiore's right, i.e. coming right out of the sun.  It seemed a great strategy on Princeton's part, actually.  Because other than that, Princeton had no answer to our defense.

Edit:  And a Lang goal as the #10 play on SportsCenter.  Nice.

Interesting factoid (to me, anyway): but for the Dartmouth blip, our regular season losses this season were to the same teams as in last year's run to Memorial Day.  That being said, this season has had a far different feel.  This may have been Tambroni's best coaching job overall (which is saying a lot).

Given the way the Ivy League season has played out, next weekend's winner is anybody's guess.  Even though home hasn't been exactly kind this year (granted, two of the losses were to the # 1 and 2 teams), I'm sure the team is thrilled to get the tournament on the home turf.
