I recently received a note from Kim Weinstein, wife of our own Jason Weinstein.   She is involved in the "Face Off Against Cancer" event that is supported by the Binghamton Senators.   As part of this event, a jersey and two sticks, all autographed by the team, will be raffled off.

This is a chance to support a great cause and possibly win a cherished piece of memorabilia.   And, if you happen to be in Binghamton on April 3rd, I highly recommend going to the B-Sens game.   Kim is lights-out when singing the National Anthem!!

Quote"You are probably not aware, but I have been actively involved in the Greater Binghamton Relay for Life,  an American Cancer Society event, for 16 years now.  Our 2010 goal is to raise $8,804.  Each year, we look for new and creative ways to raise money for this great cause.  This year, we will be taking part in "Face Off Against Cancer", an annual event supported by the Binghamton Senators (April 3).  In addition to singing the national anthem for the game that evening, we will have a table on the concourse with raffles to raise money for Relay.  Although we will have other items as well, I thought you would be interested to know that we will be raffling off a jersey and two hockey sticks, donated by the Cornell Men's Hockey Team and signed by the players.  The price will be $5 for 10 tickets, $2 for 3 tickets, or $1 each.  The drawing will take place at the Relay for Life on June 19, however you do not have to be present to win. Payment can be sent to my attention at the address below, checks payable to "American Cancer Society".  Individuals would need to specify which raffle they wanted tickets for (one drawing for the jersey and another raffle for the sticks, which will have two winners). I attended the April 3rd B-Sen's game and got a chance to check out the Cornell Hockey jersey being raffled off.

It is, indeed, an authentic Cornell Hockey white jersey.   There is no name/number on the jersey.    And, it is not a game-worn jersey.   It is in pristine condition with nice array of team autographs.

Kim can still be contacted as noted in her note above.   Let's show her some support on this one!!!

Thanks.
