Clarkson and SLU are mid-way through the first OT. Here's hoping for a lot more of them ::popcorn::.

Rita

Jinxed it. SLU wins 3-2 in the 1st OT.

Clarkson on break? And women playing at home.

I think I heard that SLU is on break, but Clarkson is not - SLU announcers were worried it would be a pro-Clarkson crowd because of that.  Doesn't sound like there was a crowd at all... :(
Let's Go RED!

If Friday's results hold for the series, the QF would be:

#11 Brown at #1 Yale
#9 Harvard at #2 Cornell
#7 Quinnipiac at #3 Union
#5 St. Lawrence at #4 Colgate

The band has a contingent at the Lynah women's game.  Place is still empty, though.

It wasn't that empty. A thru D had quite a number of fans, and probably the most that've ever watched a women's game at Lynah.

Backman hurt.  According to USCHO Cafe done for the year.

Quote from: ursusminorFree video streams of the RPI-Brown games are available at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/rpi-tv-channel-6-stream---live-football-and-hockey.

The video quality is for the most part very good, but not perfect... The RPI video feed cut out with about 15 minutes left in the 3rd. Nice to know our video system isn't the only one that drops and has issues.

Back up, ~ 11 minutes left in the 3rd, still 2-1 Brown.

For anyone who wants to watch RPI implode again on Saturday, the following was posted on USCHO by a member of RPI-TV. The feed that they put out on http://www.rpitv.org/live is indeed better than that that is streamed on ustream. (The one that they archive after the game is even better.) Interesting that they had about 30 on the RPI-TV feed and about 50 on the ustream feed on Friday.

QuoteI wanted to let everyone know that we did get the go-ahead to offer the RPI TV stream to everyone, completely free of charge at a very high quality. We had a sucessful stream (although unsucessful game :() tonight and we are really looking forward to offering it to a lot more people tomorrow night (Saturday) and if necessary, Sunday night. We had around 30 viewers today, but would really like to try to set a new record for us tomorrow, and hopefully get more than a hundred, or even more! If you do enjoy watching the RPI TV video feed, be sure to send us an email and let us know! We love hearing back from people. And if enough people email the right people in the athletics department saying how much they enjoy watching the game tomorrow, we might be able to work something out with them to offer more, or all games next season on our website, using our servers at a much higher quality!

We did add a chat box today, which people seemed to enjoy, and I will be working hard tomorrow to refine that a bit before the game.

The game starts at 7pm, but the video stream will go live at 6:30, possibly earlier if we are ready to see a bit of warm ups.

To watch it, visit http://www.rpitv.org/live and please share this link with everyone who may be interested. We really want to show the athletics department that there is a market for free video streams. I would love to have to deal with the problem of running out of bandwidth!

As always, be sure to visit http://www.rpitv.org/ for our back catalog of games. Tonights game is already up and available at http://www.rpitv.org/productions/286-mens-hockey-vs-brown-game-1-ecac-championship-1st-round

Damn. (You can read into that as you see fit.)

Agreed.  While the natural initial reaction might be "great -- it opens things up for us," I'd like to see Yale at full strength; not only would I hope to have a chance to beat them with all their horses, but they certainly will be hampered at the NCAA's without him.

Yeah, I think most of us would like him to have a painless condition that clears up two weeks from Monday.

Only 1600+ at the RPI Mausoleum for Brown.  Their fans sure can crank it up, but only for the nights they give away one thunderstick.::nut::

To add insult, their food sales windows were cut in half anticipating low concession sales due to the low ticket sales.  Their popcorn is fresh, but I missed a couple minutes of the game to buy my bucket.
"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."
