Does anyone know how long Greg will have to sit?  Where can we find that out?  Is there any possibility we can get him a seat right over the opponent's bench?  I'd love to see him heckle from above.

Sitting in section D, the new section B.

OK, how many others saw the thread title and took it literally for a minute?  ::laugh::

The consensus is that this was Greg's 1st DQ and therefore he only sits out Brown.

My friend was saying how drawing the DQ in the Vermont game so he'd have to sit out of the Brown game was done on purprose, so that they'd definitely be able to unleash him against Hahvahd.  I think he's full of crap, but I wouldn't mind seeing a supercharged Hornby taking down the Crimson one by one. :-D

Is next year here yet?

From todays Daily Sun:

Thoughts on the weekend with...

Greg Hornby

"We were all very focused the entire week on beating Dartmouth and proving everybody and all the talk wrong. Saturday night we proved just how well prepared we were for the weekend. As far as the fight goes, their guy was taking some liberties in an 8-0 game, taking cheap shots and putting our guys in danger. Someone had to stick up for our guys and this time around it was up to me. I'm out for the Brown game but that's the risk you take. The important thing is we're on top of the ECAC and there's no looking back now."

Guilty, I admit it.  I was thinking, "oh god, did he go after the guy in the parking lot or something?"

Don't DO that!

If you lead a good life, go to Sunday school and church, and say your prayers every night, when you die, you'll go to LYNAH!

Tub(a)

I was fooled.

I also instantly thought of the scene in "Slap Shot" where the cops come after the Hansen Brothers :-D

Tito Short!

"This time around it was up to me."

Hahaha...when is it ever not up to Hornby to be the goon?  Don't get me wrong, he's a good player, but as much of an enforcer as you will see in college hockey.

Well, I remember this one time it was up to Ian Burt.   ::nut::

Well, Hornby wasn't on the team yet then!  :)

In all, 185 penalty minutes were handed out as a result of the skirmish. For the entire game, 217 penalty minutes were whistled, setting an ECAC single-game record for combined penalty minutes on two teams. Union's 116 penalty minutes were also an ECAC record.

"It was a typical college scrum around the goaltender that I thought was going to dissipate," Cornell coach Mike Schafer said. "As soon as the goalie leaves the crease from the other end you know there's going to be trouble, because he's already DQ'ed. I don't know if he understood if he gets in a fight he gets another one."

Burt explained how things heated up between himself and Shtrom.

"We were just having a conversation, I just asked him how the game was," Burt said. "I asked him why he didn't jump me and he was like, 'Oh, your back was turned.' He was like, 'You want to go with me?' and I [said], 'Not really, you'll probably beat me up.' He said, 'Well, let's go then,' and throws his gloves off."

That is too funny. ::laugh::
