Yeah, it's early, but last year I signed on to the siouxsports forum and went back to see what they are saying. Interestingly one of them was at our Harvard game and posted some photos here.

Their main concern seems to be how much worse they play on Sat. vs. Fri.

Someone who watched the UHN game posted the following on their forum's Cornell game thread:

"I dont know how many of you caught the Cornell/UNH game a couple of weeks ago on ESPNU. Cornell is big, fast, and skilled, Scrivens is a good goaltender, and they have the Nash brothers. We will need an "A" game both nights."

Looks like the Sioux are missing some bodies.

They are well known to the Sioux fans since they hoped (expected) to get to get Riley.

::cheer:: Props to UND for showing the "balls" to agree to travel east to play us. Their athletic department should be commended, most "upper tier" programs wouldnt give it a thought to come into Lynah. Now lets go get 2 much needed wins this weekend!!

...after which they'll never come back.

Quote from: Jim HylaNice article from the Grand Forks Herald.

Nice. Too bad they take a "we only want to play top teams at home" stance like so many other Western teams do, but it's great that they're coming to Lynah.  Judging by the Ticket Forum, this is one of the most in-demand non-Harvard games in recent years.

I'm hoping some UND fans make the trip.  After going to Grand Forks myself last season, I think Lynah and the Ralph are about as opposite as you can get in terms of arenas, and I'd love to see some of them also experience the contrast.

Palace vs. Barn
Marble vs. Wood
Cushy vs. Cramped
Seats vs. Benches
Soaring vs. Stacked
Quiet vs. Loud
Relaxed vs. Frenzied
Gift Store vs. Souvenier Tables
Phil Collins vs. Rocky Theme

BTW, the nickname case drags on: http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/34894748/ns/sports/

Well, I think you need to understand that phrase. It's really completely different than the other schools. What the others do is to play the teams who are just looking for games. Much like the big football teams do for the first few games. They are not looking for the top teams. Get someone, anyone  to come so we can sell tickets and make money. ND takes the approach that they want good teams to come and they are willing to go. Much different.

How about the soup bar and carving stations vs. stale pretzels?  :-)
The jersey that is....
But usually you'll find me in a 22 (next to a 2)!

Good article. Brad's a friend of mine - but one error, unfortunately - kinda.  He says Cornell has been to 3 regional finals in 11 years. It's actually been 5. The only way it's 3 is if you don't include the FF year as one of them, and you don't include 2002, when it wasn't a 'regional final' per se, but was a game vs. UNH for a trip to the FF.

So after an almost 2 month absence from home, it seems like REDCAST is having problems loading. Auuggghhh. Is this a big home sports weekend with Basketball, wrestling etc. all trying to be streamed at the same time?

I was about to reply saying I didn't have any trouble, but now the feed's just dropped.

Someone on the USCHO forums says that the wrestling feed is playing the hockey pre-game show.  I don't have access to the wrestling feeds to verify this tough.
