Folks,
I just had to say how tired I am of the Jack Parker/BU article featured on the CHN site.
O.K., they made us look stupid. But, the byline says 12/2/09.
Let' move on. Please?

Pretty good article though, right? ;-)

It's not like BU scored a clean, wide-open goal or anything. And it wasn't even on the 6-on-3. BU turned a 5x4 into a 6x4, as is standard for teams which are losing in the final minute of the third period. There was traffic around the net and the BU forward made a nice play to poke in the puck. I really, really don't see the big deal about the 6x3.

The big deal is that prick Parker couldn't think of this strategy himself.

Almost makes you wonder why he was suspended for a second game when he was caught coaching his team by intercom while under suspension.  They might have done better if he just kept his ugly puss shut.  What makes me hate him so much compared to Jerry York? I think of York as one of the classiest guys in college hockey.  Is Parker really that much of an ass or am I just looking at this through Carnelian lenses?
"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

Either way it looks like Brendon Nash read the article.
Let's hope he takes it to heart

A lot of people who knew the young Jack Parker in the 1970s thought stress would do him in by decade's end. Instead, he's survived, BU has thrived, it gets new rinks built, the team wins championships. He's lasted almost longer than Fidel. He has lasted longer than John Silber (now there's a guy on edge). If he is a jerk and if he were our jerk, we'd love him for being colorful and outspoken. He's not ours, so we don't. We still can feel superior because Cornell has a football team and a coach and a nice artificial turn field, and all BU has left is the field.
