Is CBS CSTV on the "regular" digital package in NY without any add-ons?  What would I have to add to get the game tonight? Can I cancel tomorrow and pay a prorated amount for 1 day?

In Ithaca, with Time Warner Cable, the CBS College Sports is part of the "Sports Tier" package. I called and added it earlier today. The channel was turned on immediately. The package costs $3.95 per month, and, as per the rep I spoke to, I can cancel the package tomorrow if I want to and pay only the pro-rated amount.

With the Time Warner "Sports Channel Tier" you also get 3 regional Fox Sports Networks and the NHL Network, giving you a lot more college hockey.

Agree, It's worth it, if you want to see some other games. I get the Sioux and sometimes Minny or Denver.

Thanks guys. Just called to add and it was activated immediately. Also got NHL TV and all those other Fox College stations. She said the cost was $2.05/month; seems like a steal.

Ugh... I'm getting DirecTV installed tomorrow. Going to miss tonight's game, but at least I'll be able to watch the Super Bowl in HD.

The game tonight is on 1978 on TWC in Albany.  8 PM. Maybe it's 1878, I think it is.  Don't know what the non-high-def channel is.

FIOS would require me to upgrade to the HD package for two years to get the channel for tonight. I explained that I had no HD television so it would be a waste of money.

Could a Tivo user take the file from the HD copy of a game and convert it to an AVCHD copy of the game?  Too many CODECs for me.::cry::

Same here. But they felt bad so they gave me 3 months of HBO+Cinemax free. Not a completely wasted effort, I guess.

Ditto. Just remember to cancel in three months.

I also tried to encourage them to carry the Canadian broadcast channels. With the Olympics coming up I am going to really miss the CBC coverage. Guess I'll have to try to find the rabbit ears.

Zap2It.com has the Cornell @ Colgate game listed as airing on SNY live and again the next day at 2pm.  SNY's site just lists "college hockey" so Zap2It is probably right.

They do pick up TW sometimes, so probably and I'll add it. Thanks.

Sweet.  The game is listed on the DirecTV and TiVo guides, too.  I just set it up to record.
