"Double matching minors" when there were "four boardings...four interferences on the play on dirty cornell"
"Mark Mazzoleni looks like a guy whose dog just died out there..."

Jacob '06

We were lucky we got the matching penalty there. I'm pretty sure it was called on the Dartmouth guy while he was skating towards his bench and skated right in to and shoved 2 Cornell players. Of course these terrible announcers accuse the Cornell players of going after the Dartmouth guy that skated near their bench, and then thought that the penalty was commited by the Dartmouth player while he was on the ice.

Al DeFlorio

They've been skating faster than us, and it caused that penalty.

These announcers are effing ridiculous. Dartmouth scores on the power play in overtime.

Two tough losses in games that could easily have been won.  I'm depressed.

13-1-3 in the first 17 games.
2-4-1 in the last 7 games.

fink

Season started 13-1-3 through @ RPI.

2-4-1 since.

I only listened to the audio feed tonight, but according to Jason, there was some controversy in the GWG and the way the puck hit off the crossbar. The ref waived it off, but after consulting with the goal judge, it was allowed.

Anyone who watched the video (or who was there) want to describe it better than Jason did?

Another painful loss.

Yale now leading Union 3-1 midway through the 3rd.

I guess what I'd say is several of those first 17 games could easily have been losses, just as the last two losses could easily have been wins.  Things even up over time when nearly every game you play is decided by a goal.

The Dartmouth announcers would be happy to give you an opinion.:-P

Yes, Cornell could have won the last two games.  No question about that.  That second Dartmouth goal seemed to rattle Scrivens.  It was just really bad luck for the team.  Scrivens is a tough kid though.  He'll bounce back.

I think the new lines worked fairly well for Cornell.  Sean Collins seems to be developing nicely.  I hope he's able to take up some of the slack as the team moves down the stretch.

Some of the seniors are probably thinking about the number of games they have left at Cornell.  Mugford and Punches look like they want some points before they graduate.  Let's hope they get them.

I think the team will be pumped for tomorrow night.

I think the final goal was legitimate.  The puck did take a funny bounce though.

The Dartmouth announcers were pretty obnoxious.
