Brandon Thomas reports today in the Ithaca Journal that Jordan Berk is not expected to return to the team.

Interesting.  I thought I saw his father in Estero.

Looks like he's headed back to play junior hockey. Salmon Arm just traded his playing rights to Ft. McMurray.

So this would let him retain eligibility, either for us or someone else, correct?

The article isn't nearly specific enough to answer that.

This is very disappointing. #16 was one of my favorite players to watch last season. With the exception of a crummy ricochet off his skate that led to a breakaway goal at Madison Square Garden, he always seemed valuable on the ice.

Several times I watched him break up 2-1s, taking the pass in his ribs like good defensemen are taught.

Best of luck.

He played for the Oil Barons tonight in Drayton Valley.

I agree.  I think he's a talented defenseman.

I disagree. A lot. His defensive skills might have been okay but I cringed every time he touched the puck. Too bad we couldn't help him develop more.

Oh KP 06' you disagree alot eh? Have u checkd Jordans +/- for when he was a member of the big red? Did you watch him at the start of his rookie season when he was quarterbacking the powerplay? I had visions of a Brain Rafalski or Tomas Kaberle. This guy is good! You cringed when he touchd the puck? He had the better hands and vision then any other Cornell defenceman you have. I cringe when 6 foot 4 230 pounders try and take the puck up the ice with there stone fucking hands and vision like the detriot tunnell. KP 06' get some fucking hockey sense then you can comment on theese bloggs.

What is the use of re-opening this discussion nearly 2 months later?

Dpperk29, the use of bringing up this sitation nearly two months later is to voice on the stupidness of Shafer and his coaching staff. I think its time to clean-house when it comes to management. Im tired of watching this old 1-0, 2-1, old style hockey games. If Scrivens has not played so well this year, this team would be nowhere close to where they are. This is a new day and age and face the facts hockey is a differnt game now. So a message to Shafer, wake the fuck up your not the New Jersy Devils of 2001.

P.S. Dpperk29 i'll talk circles around you day after day, my great grandmother who has past 20 years ago this april has a much more significant hockey IQ then yourself. Have a wonderfull day.

Unlike his older brother, Anze, Andre here needs to wear a helmet all the time... in London, Ontario.

Kopitar[/quote]You know, I can understand misspelling "Schafer" (even though there's a handy spelling guide right there on your screen) and "Jersy" is probably just a typo, but if you're going to choose a handle after one of the NHL's rising stars then you really should at least spell "Anze" correctly.

And if your aunt had testicles she'd be your uncle.

(And I'm calling this out as a fake, the misspellings seem to occur with too consistent of a frequency to be real.)
