Brandon Thomas posted an interesting teaser for his upcoming season preview of men's hockey, due in the Thursday edition of the Ithaca Journal.

He mentions a conversation with "a NHL team official who clearly doesn't think highly of ECAC Hockey." among other things.

He also references a phone interview with Matt Moulson but then seemingly forgets to write about it, unless he plans on adding it to his season preview on Thursday.

I wholeheartedly agree.  I hope my initial post wasn't interpreted as criticism of Brandon...I was just confused about the reference to a Moulson interview.  I think he does a great job overall.

Wasn't hockey coverage once written by the editor or publisher of the Ithaca Journal?

Jerry Langdon who at one time was the Managing Editor of Ithaca Journal who went onto to do sports for USA Today.

Brandon's season preview was posted today on the Ithaca Journal website.  He has 5 excellent articles covering Riley Nash, the women's team, the freshmen, the goaltender situation, and the rest of the ECAC...definitely worth a read.
