We just did... twice in a row. Ok, I know its 'just Union', but they were one of the 4 we couldn't beat.

It's kind of a technicality, but Union and Cornell were tied in the league with 25 points each. Union won the head-to-head tiebreaker, thus securing the first round bye.

True we 'tied', but since they beat us twice, its hard to argue they weren't one of the teams above us - and, based on the results this season 'better than us'.

Anyway, technicalities or not, its nice to see us able to get 2 wins on a road against a bye-team that we couldn't be in the regular season.

Which means that Delta was right when he said that we couldn't beat them.  If we had beaten them, we would have the tiebreaker.

No doubt about it, the difference this year over last has been the improved special teams.  If we keep that going next week, we have a shot (that, plus no one in the league is especially overwhelming).

Agreed. And I suspect that the experience of having to deal with a first-round series, combined with wins on the road in the quarterfinals, should bring a lot of character to this young team in future years.
