Are Brown and Princeton in OT?
They were. Princeton wins it. Game 3 tomorrow.

Princeton  won early in OT.
"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

"and the Bobcats go wayyyyyyy up north to face Cornell..."

Wonder if any Q fans will make the trip to the frozen tundra of Ithaca...
However, the MTU huskies are lighting up the Gophers, now 5-1.
Go Coach Russell!

North?

I think we will see a good Q crowd.  They are building a strong program and have great fans.

Completely 50/50 series coming up.

Unfortunately, Minnesota and MTU are proving that there is no "D" in the Twin Cities this weekend. Gophers get 2 quick goals at the end of the 2nd to make it 5-3.

There is, however, a "D" in Duluth and the Badgers and Bulldogs are still scoreless at the end of 2 periods.

Well, in lieu of a multiple OTs, at least there is a game 3. The Harvard announcers are pulling for Brown.. they do not want to "way up north" and practically into Canada next weekend.

Still down 2 goals with 2:19 left in the 3rd, Minnesota pulls their sieve. They get one goal with 44 seconds left. Now 36.1 seconds left, face-off in the gophers defensive zone. Huskies hang on to win 5-4.

Wisconsin 0 - UMD 0. Final (OT).

14 minutes into the 2nd period CC 5 - Denver 3.
side note (that isn;t meant to be offensive): it seems most posters on this forum think most jersey's that aren't red and white are ugly (and some that are). Just an observation. I guess it should be that way though... this is a cornell forum.
Actually, I was just commenting to a friend today about how I like UNH's jerseys (we were at the BC-UNH game).  Also, your spelling of the plural of "jersey" would make Baby Jesus cry if he were a grammar Nazi; and it would make me cry if I were Baby Jesus.

edit:  haha, this forum puts the accent on "Baby."  Is that to help us spell the player's name, or just an easter-egg shoutout?

This game had quite the exciting ending and Univ. of North Dakota was the real winner.

Denver was down 5-3 with ~2 minutes left (and it was 4 v 4 at the time) and they pulled the goalie. They get a goal with ~ 31 seconds left in the 3rd, and then the game tying goal (also with the goalie pulled) at the 19:56 mark.  After the 5 min OT game ends in a tie.

Thus UND finishes 3rd in the WCHA and avoids the Thursday night 4/5 game should they get to the Final Five. Denver gets 4th place and CC 5th. Had Denver won the game, they would have finished 3rd.

Unbelievable ending. Dingle tried to kick a puck towards the net with about 7 seconds left and it ended up in the corner. In desperation a DU turned and fired towards the crease with 4 seconds left, and Dingle was still in position to deflect it short-side with his stick.

This after a rousing "overrated" chant from the Tigers fans with about 3 minutes left. Oops ::doh::

OT but somewhat related to Saturday's Harvard-Yale game at Bright:  At the start of the second period, members of the Yale band were waving dollar bills over the glass at the Harvard team as they were skating around in their defensive zone (and yelling something I couldn't quite catch).  Does anyone know why?  I'm just curious.

The Harvard-Yale game was interesting to watch, but I'm looking forward to this weekend's games--LGR!  :-)

They always do that when the ref passes by before the teams come out, chanting "take our money." Sometimes they wave credit cards and chant "take our credit." I've never seen them do it to another team.
"Mark Mazzoleni looks like a guy whose dog just died out there..."

Ah.  Many thanks for the explanation.
