Princeton knocks off Brown to move into 2nd place in the ECAC if SLU(t) loses which is looking unlikely, or to share 3rd place with the winner of this game...who woulda thunk...and with a below .500 record too.
We're not playing miserable like last night...but certainly not flying like I would expect after last night.  It's also not as physical a game as I would have thought.

Cornell starts the 3rd on pp...let's do something with it and move ahead.
We've had some good stretches of aggressiveness and intensity, but we have very little structure to our play.  Who would have thought our problem would be discipline?

We are lucky to be tied.  I hope Cornell comes out on fire in the third, pots one on the pp, then hits the hell out of Clarkson and hangs on.  It's daunting to be missing the "grind it into wood chips" style that has protected hundreds of leads in the Schafer era.

Refs have caught on to our faceoff play.

Very good kill for Cornell, all night.  One critical special teams problem at least may be solved.

Another cornell pp coming up

Trotsky

Some pressure draws an unnecessary holding penalty for Clarkson.  Topher needs to coordinate more with his mates.  I love his energy, but please, teamwork.

sah67

another messy unstructured pp

HUGE Save by davenport as Grenzy came in on him all alone

Wow, Grenzy had Davenport down and out.  We are playing with house money, now.  It's a miracle this game is tied.

sah67

another big Davenport save on a quasi-2 on 0

Gametracker has shots 7-1 for Cornell this period.  Huh?

7 rink-length passes for us.  7 near misses for them.

Trotsky

Good penalty to take.  Probably saved a goal.
