I'm hoping someone could help me out,

I booked 2 rooms at the Econo Lodge downtown for Friday night only, but one of my friends just got sick and isn't going to be coming, and therefore her friend she was bringing isn't either, bringing the total number of people with me to 4 (from 6).  I got 2 rooms (nonsmoking) with 2 double beds in each room.

Does anybody still need a place?

Why not just call and cancel it?  I believe you ahve until nooon today maybe?

RazzBaronZ

Yes it's definitely in downtown Albany...

I can cancel within 24 hours; I gave them a call at 7am today but they said it was too late to cancel.  They didn't even offer to have me pay some sort of lower cancellation fee.

I had a room reserved there which I cancelled.  It said on the website that you had to cancel by 4pm the day before arrival.

Jeez good call!  I thought you were referencing me not having the word Albany in my post.  Completely missed that.

it depends on when you made the rservation i think, because on the reservation i made yesterday, it says "Note:  The cancellation deadline has expired, so this reservation cannot be cancelled."

but the one that I made a few days ago (and canceled yesterday night) said that I could cancel up to 4pm of the check-in day.

I think it's actually across the river from downtown Albany.
