fom today's Binghamton Press:
[Q] The voice of the Binghamton Senators is now the team's lead salesman, too.

Grady Whittenburg, who has called Senators' American Hockey League games on the radio since the franchise's inception in 2002-03, has been promoted to vice president of sales. He'll continue to do radio play-by-play and will retain his duties as the Senators' director of broadcasting next season.

Whittenburg, 40, has worked in past off-seasons to secure several new corporate partners and executive vice president Tom Mitchell has credited him for being instrumental in the Senators' sales success. [/Q]

Grady was pretty much already in charge of sales and promotions, making it a full-time year-round job, not just a part-time in-season radio gig, but this sounds like a higher rank in the organization. (Then again, it might just be an "executive supervising bartender" title.) Go Grady!
