If someone said this elsewhere and I missed it, sorry.  Does anyone know if buying tickets at the door usually works for Yale?  Or would it be wise to try and get tickets in the small bit of advance that's left?

Cornell v. Yale is typically the 2nd toughest game to get tickets for (behind Harvard of course.) However, because this is the home opener and Yale lost their two stars, turnout might be low this year. You never know.  I'd get one ahead of time if possible.

Anyway, Dan '01 has a spare ticket available on the Ticket Exchange.  http://elf.elynah.com/list.php?f=3

Robin,

Yes, I'm heading down from Boston to Yale tomorrow, hopefully in time to meet everyone at Bru.  If you need a ride, then you are more than welcome to join me.

One note: I will be heading down to NYC after the game, and then heading down to the Princeton game on Saturday.  So I won't be able to give you a ride back to Boston.  Perhaps there are others who are driving down to New Haven from Boston who can give you a ride back up?

I spoke with a guy from their ticket office today who said SRO tickets probably wouldn't be a problem.  That said, if you can find a ticket in advance, it's always better.

RedAR-

What time are you leaving the Boston area?  And what's a good working email address for ya?  Thanks.

Does anyone have an ideal route to-from New Haven-Ithaca?
79-81-17-84 ?
79-81-84
Other ?

Thanks for any suggestions

NY79->I81->I84->CT34

Takes about 4:05 if you don't hit traffic on 84 and 34.

I may be there but it depends on where my favorite Eli wants to eat.

From experience (lots and lots of experience), the time is pretty much exactly the same if you do
81->84
or
81->17->84

Maybe 5, 10 minutes difference. Skip 17 if you wanna drive faster, take 17 if you want the scenery or the Rosco Diner :-).

17 is often better around a holiday, when you can hit a moderate slowdown around Scranton.

(This is off-topic, but whatever.)

I would think 17 would be worse around a holiday, given that I think most people consider 17 the main artery between the downstate area and Central and Western NY.  But, I really can't compare, because I always like to speed through Pennsylvania to get from Ithaca to NJ and back.

Is next year here yet?

Anne(DVM) and I hope to be there.  Robin will be with us.

Hope to see you then,

Chris

Might make sense in theory, but I have never seen something even vaguely resembling traffic on 17... not the weekend after Thanksgiving or anything... a busy day on 17 is when you have to make your way through a group of half a dozen to a dozen cars every 20 minutes :-).

I can't find one either.  I tried hunting around the Yale website, but the radio station there has something else scheduled to be broadcast during the game.  Anybody know of one?
