covid testing

Cornell med school had a test pretty early on and was doing its own testing..  I wonder if these Colleges try to figure out a way to ramp up some of this testing so that the colleges can function.   Even if they could do a 1000 a week or some number they could spread the load out and also help bring school back quicker.

A school like Cornell has the means to ramp up some equipment if they can find the chemicals to conduct the tests. if a few hundred places could do 1-200 a day thats 20000 tests

All this assumes they can get the test kits as needed around the country.

The trick seems to be getting the chemicals for the large scale testing.  Everybody is fighting for the same similar types of materials.

but the Feds say they can find that stuff its just an access issue coming from other countries slowing down the companies..
