Wish the record-breaking shut-out had been against Harvard, but it was Yale.;-)

Congrats Lenny!  Does anyone know if the real voters have already voted?  I assume that since he is a "top 3," they have already done the voting.

IIRC the voting is done and they publicize the top 3 vote getters. The winner is announced Friday, but is already known.

In case anyone missed it, after the BC game Coach was asked about it and said (to paraphrase) "If someone was about to shatter the NCAA scoring and other offensive records nobody would even ask who should win. It should be that obvious for a player about to break the goaltending records."

I never said we lost because we didn't have Lenny.  OK, it did sound a little like that, so let me elaborate.

I meant to say that when LeNeveu has been there what he's done is win.  We can't hypothesize meaningfully about how Marr or Lenny would "have done" in games they didn't play.  What we can do is state the record, and the record shows that Lenny wins.  This should be taken into consideration when people say that his record is a product of the D.  If that were true, Marr ought to have as a good a record as Lenny.

Not necessarily, given the small sample size of Marr's games (not to mention the high-quality opponents -- Maine was the best team we played all season, until BC; and both OSU games could have gone either way).

A more significant comparison, though not applicable for this season, is Underhill's performances last year relative to LeNeveu's.

I think the significant comparison between Lenny and Marr is "games played".  Clearly someone has decided who the better goalie is.

my appologies, the record breaker was against Yale, I was thinking how sweet it woulda been if it were against Harvard :-}

There was brief mention of the three finalists on Sportscenter tonight, with accompanying footage of Lenny stoning someone....However the sports anchor had no idea how to pronouce his name and butchered it quite badly!

Theoretically, the team might not have been able to play their game if they weren't as confident with Marr in net and played more defensively-minded, resulting in less offense. Not saying that's actually the case, but the argument can be made.

Wow - if this team can play MORE defensively minded than they have down the stretch, that would be a scary mode of play indeed....

And some bonehead on USCHO will read that as arrogance.::rolleyes::

Congrats to Lenny.  Does anyone have a picture of him in goal at Princeton with the "Make Hobey Proud" proclamation emblazoned on the balcony overhead?
