Casey Jones on a "short list" for PSU Head Coaching Job?

Think they'll steal a second coach from us in a year? It's certainly a well-qualified list, including guys with significant head coaching experience (Gadowski), but Casey's got a lot of experience with a hockey program at a school with a huge athletics budget.

I don't think he'd be on the top of the list of those candidates. Now if "PSU will not pay high salary" means you kick out some of the more qualified candidates, well you never know. I doubt he'd leave unless it was a great op, including salary. To be under the gun at making a winner, as they probably expect with all they are spending, must take a lot out of you. You've got to be compensated for that.

If Austin does well enough at Cornell that Penn State gives him a second thought, we won't have anything to complain about.

It would be a change of pace for PSU to scoop up an accomplished assistant coach rather than using a ton of money to lure a seemingly comfortable head coach.
