Former Cornell athlete Jamie Reed '00 is Fury in the new American Gladiators (brought to you in part by the writers guild of america). This keeps alive a fine(?) tradition of Big Red athletes on the show (who can forget Hawk?).

The new show is hosted by Hulk Hogan and Laila Ali and promises to be truly awful.

Shit. I guess that's what happens when you take a few minutes to reminisce by reading the American Gladiators wiki entry before making your "I believe you spelled awesome wrong, Chris" joke.

Very much looking forward to the revival -- actually, more like interested in seeing it now that I learned about the revival through this thread -- although I'm sure it won't be as great as the original.  They'll try too hard, when really all you need is big metal spheres crashing into each other in an attempt to roll over fog machines.

Are wobsites really that reliable, Josh? It's probably just a misspelling of Reed.

According to the Cornell Chronicle, Fury is in fact married to Frank Kovac.
