I watched the second and third periods of ESPN Classic's rebroadcast of (most of) the Miracle on Ice game tonight.

Is it just me, or does it seem to you that today's Cornell team could probably have beaten both the US and USSR 1980 teams?  Have skills, speed, equipment, etc. developed so much across the board, or is there something wrong with my perception watching the game on TV?
