A well-timed NCAA appearance likely helped Niagara win that recruiting battle. And the restoration of scholarship money couldn't have hurt either.

This "miss" was a bit disappointing because there were a few articles floating around about how Demtrius Williamson is so focussed on academics and how he always placed education in front of athletics.  I thought we were going to get this guy-- he sounded Ivy bound.  But I guess you are right, the NCAA bid and the scholarship probably swayed him.
