This is from the Ticket Office (cross-posted to the Hockey board):

Dear Men's Hockey Season Ticket Holder,

On Sunday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. Cornell will be hosting Ohio State in a wrestling match at Bartels Hall. This event is a match between two nationally ranked teams, where Cornell is ranked 8th and Ohio State is ranked 10th. At 4 p.m. that day, the Cornell men's ice hockey team will play Wayne State. The athletic department expects 3000-4000 spectators at each of these premier events with a foreseeable total attendance approaching 8000. The wrestling match will run for approximately 2 hours, and the exiting traffic will likely coincide with incoming hockey traffic.

Hockey season ticket holders who have purchased season parking will be assured reserved parking in the upper C lot. An additional 80 parking spots are available in the upper C lot for Sunday's game on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost will be $10/vehicle and will be available to hockey fans immediately. The Athletic Ticket Office is open Wednesday from 10-5 PM but will be closed on Thursday and Friday this week. The office will reopen at 6 PM on Saturday prior to the 8 PM game vs. Wayne State.

On Sunday parking in the lower C lot (former K lot) will be available until sold out for $5/vehicle. Parking in the parking garage will be FREE as well as parking on tower road, both of which will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Hockey fans should allow more time than normal in order to secure parking and walk to Lynah Rink.

Note: On Sunday, following the wrestling match, the traffic on campus road will be restricted to one-way in order to provide a smooth exit for wrestling fans and a smooth entrance for hockey fans. The traffic will flow from West to East, up Campus Road.

Since you may arrive to the hockey game early in order to secure parking, the athletic department is offering men's ice hockey season ticket holders a 50% discount on tickets to the wrestling match. The normal $8 admission will be reduced to $4. This event is also the 4th annual Community Challenge for Hospicare and $3 for each fan in attendance will be donated to Hospice of Tompkins County.

Please pass this message along to any ticket holders you know that may not use email. Enjoy your holiday and we'll see you this weekend.

Sincerely,

The Athletic Ticket Office staff.

So is this post for the eLynah regular who only comes here for the other sports?

I figured it couldn't hurt.

Well, I only go to USCHO for their hard-hitting softball coverage.

I made it to the first hour or so of wrestling (four weight classes). It seemed like a pretty good crowd (official attendance 2368), but there were about six students there. Mostly townies and parents, etc. Sounds like we lost a heartbreaker, but I was impressed by the whole experience and would recommend that lots of other Faithful try to make it to the next home match (1/7, or 1/21 if you'll be home).

If that one guy didn't get pinned it would've made the difference. The wrestling program has been getting better and better the past few years.

We got a major decision at 125 but Nickerson likely gets a technical fall or a pin in the same match, particularly if we need the big win to give us a cushion for the final match.

Get well soon, Troy.

Does anybody know the injury status of Nickerson or Frey? I can't seem to find any article on their current condition or when they might wrestle next?
