Absolutely true, and they have a significant lead on #2 Minnesota.  Cornell is at #8.

Can't guarantee that it's completely accurate (nothing against Greg here, this is just a ridiculous project to get absolutely correct), and I don't know when Greg updated it last, but here's the stats he's compiled:

Lot's of good history lists along the same vein here:

For example, Cornell possesses 4 of the top 10 best all-time single-season records.

Thanks, Rich.  It's updated through the 2006 NCAA QF.  Don't ask me why I didn't wait to include the F4 results.  It will be updated shortly.

Truth of the matter is that nobody can guarantee complete accuracy, because the schools, the conferences, and the NCAA don't agree on records.  Not only are there issues of which games can be counted (i.e., games against non-D1 teams prior to the formalization of the rule in the 90's are still up for grabs), but there are even cases in which x counts a game against y but y doesn't count it, or even denies it happened!

My precedence for accepting data is from "in" to "out":

1. Hockey program records
2. AD records.
3. Conference records.
4. NCAA records.
5. Unofficial sources, following the same precedence rule.

I imagine every team has at least a few "contested" results.
