The Lefty McFadden Invitational doesn't have a tournament format anymore (hence it being an "invitational," not a "tournament.")  All 4 games, and their start times, were set before the weekend, so even if Wayne State had beaten Michigan State on Saturday, Michigan State would still have played North Dakota on Sunday.
