Having Yale and Quinnipiac in different pairings also allows for the possibility of QU using Yale's rink when they are on the road.[/q]

I assume the Yale women normally use Ingalls when the men are travelling.

Cornell '98 '00; Yale 01-03; UConn 03-07; Brown 07-09; Penn State faculty 09-
Work is no longer an excuse to live near an ECACHL team... :(

[q]I assume the Yale women normally use Ingalls when the men are travelling. [/q]Depends on when their games are.  Judging by this year, the Yale women already play their Saturday games at 4pm (looks like a standard ECAC thing) and have a couple of Sunday games.  I can imagine a deal where the Yale women play Saturday/Sunday for a year or two, with Yale presumably getting payment or a part of the gate.  Or else the opposite.

This makes no sense - the current system would split up 3 of the current partners, the following system would only split up 2.

Why not:
Cornell-Colgate (duh)
RPI-Union (duh)
SLU-Clarkson (duh)
Brown-Harvard (convenient for Southwest cheap tickets and only 1 hour apart)
Dartmouth-Yale
Princeton-Quinnipiac

The Dartmouth-Yale pair is only marginally farther than Dartmouth-Brown, and it keeps Harvard-Brown together.

Isn't the Ivy basketball pairing Harvard-Dartmouth and Yale-Brown already?

Personally, I was hoping for a Princeton-Dartmouth travel partnership. :-P
