This year's ECAC playoffs are giving me deja vu:

1995:
#7 Princeton knocks off #2 Brown in a hard-fought three-game series
2004:
#9 Clarkson knocks off #2 Cornell in a hard-fought three-game series

1995:
#6 RPI upsets #3 Harvard in two games, one of which is a tie
2004:
#6 Harvard upsets #3 Brown in two games, one of which is decided more
than five minutes into overtime

1995:
#7 Princeton upsets #1 Clarkson in the semifinals
2004:
#9 Clarkson upsets #1 Colgate in the semifinals

1995:
#6 RPI beats #4 Colgate in the other semi
2004:
#6 Harvard beats #4 Dartmouth in the other semi

Based on the pattern, I have to pick Harvard to beat Clarkson for the
title tonight. ::yark::

Can't the rink just implode, taking both sides with them?

But that would take the ECAC officials with them.

Wait, I'll get my coat.

Well, since Harvard did in fact beat Clarkson, let's hope for another parallel to 1995:  a Cornell championship the following year!  B-]

The prospect of watching the Crimson in Albany again next week has me drinking too.

"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

If this were 1995, Colgate and Harvard would both be in the NCAA tournament.  But it's 2004 and we have gone from a 12-team tournament to a 16-team tournament and the ECAC has just one team.
