How is McKee a better rookie than David Brown http://www.insidecollegehockey.com/7Archives/goto/goto_0226.htm yet he's a worse goaltender http://www.insidecollegehockey.com/7Archives/goto/goto_0227.htm

INCH is stupid

Head-to-head:

McKee:  27 saves, 0 goals
Brown:  18 saves, 4 goals

And that was on neutral ice, to boot.

Is next year here yet?

Maybe McKee is the worse goalie, but better at some "rookie intangibles," such as carrying bags for the upperclassmen and whatnot, which give him the boost ahead of Brown on the rookie list...

Greg Berge

Clearly it's his shooting skills.  McKee has a mean wrister.  (Note that McKee has as many goals as Hugh Jessiman in Cornell-Dartmouth games, despite appearing in just 2 as opposed to 4 games.)

Yeah - and, according to INCH, Brown let in 4 goals from the 43rd best scoring offense....  ::rolleyes::

Maybe they had different voters?  Or couldn't think of another reason to credit for Notre Dame's success? Or the difference between #4 and #7 in both polls was so close as to be almost meaningless?  Or the votes for non-goalies on the rookie list were votes that went to Brown when only goalies were considered?

I think McKee has had a better season also, but get a grip, people.
