If Sean Bierk is traded from the Coyotes (which was reported on ESPN tonight as being very imminent) then who gets called up? JMP OR Dave?

Section A

Well Burke and Bierk are actually too different people. There have been trade rumors flying about Sean (Burke) for a while now, and even if he were to be traded, the Coyotes would be left with Zac Bierk and recent headline-maker Brian Boucher, both of whom are still pretty good. Probably, neither Lenny nor JMP would get called up unless 1 of the goalies is injured/can't play/gets traded. Out of the two of them, my guess would be Pelletier, but what do I know? :-P

Well then...my question is "When is Dave going to get a shot at the NHL?"  Is there any chance if the Coyotes fall out of the race, they will test him out?

Goalies almost *always* get a couple years of seasoning the minors... unless they absolutely blow the scouts away. Lenny's been very good, but not outstanding.

Good point.  Even Ryan Miller is still in the AHL...and they're REALLY high on him.

Miller has, however, seen some time with the Sabres already.

I'm gonna go see Lenny (or JMP) play tonight in Springfield... ...I'll let ya know if he's there! :)

Leneveu played all but the last minute of Springfield's 2-0 loss to Hartford.  He was, however, the second star of the game (behind Jason LaBarbera, who I must say played a hell of a game), and I still think my theory about Springfield holds true.  [The theory:  they're raising a team of enforcers and simply relying on Lenny and JMP as outstanding goalies to carry them through games.]

3 fights, 2 players each thrown out of the remainder of the second period... should make February 29th's matchup in Hartford an interesting one.

Lando Griffin

well just look at Andy Raycroft, he spent 3 years in the minors and now is a force in the NHL

ESPN is announcing that Sean Burke was traded to the Flyers and that the trade will be formally announced after the all-star game...interesting

Whoo-hoo!   No more Hackett!!!!

Anybody know more than the 3 paragraph article on ESPN.com?  Was this a cash deal or a trade?
