The sports radio station in Boston is talking about the Cornell football head coach search.  The final three candidates are Trestman, Kevin Gilbride, and Curry College head coach Steve Nelson (a part-time co-host on the drive-time show on WEEI).  They quoted (and mocked) the Cornell Daily Sun during the report.  Good times... ::rolleyes::

On what grounds?  It seemed like a fair article.

Yeah, I'm with BRA...more info?  Were they poking fun at Nelson or the Sun?  I can understand it if they were trying to have a little fun with Nelson but the articles seemed fair and packed full of information that many of us weren't aware of.

They always poke fun at Nelson, but they were basically saying "The Cornell Daily Sun..." in sarcastic reverence, as if a small college paper wasn't a reliable source in such a large media market.  They didn't say anything bad about the article or the paper, per se, but kinda looked down on it, not really beleiving that the Sun could break a story that they hadn't heard anything about yet.

Basically, just arrogance - business as usual at that station.  ::screwy::

What do you expect from a sports talk station in a major metropolis?  They don't make their money by being objective journalists who would give equal consideration to things reported by college newspapers in small towns.  It's an easy target.

Well, why would the Cornell Daily Sun even be interested in the story...
