Let's hope the permanent President is as involved in athletics as well.

Too bad Kotlikoff isn't ten years younger and have Interim removed from his title.  He's doing and saying all the right things.

Good that Kotlikoff sat for an interview with The Daily Sun. It felt a tad bit confrontational on the part of The Sun. If one continues in publishing, what's left of it, some of that gets ground off for most journos while a few make their living being confrontational. The boss comes across as level-headed. He is not going to be Cornell's surprise choice for president in two years because he'd be about 75 (Penn '73, literature, then Penn Vet, UC Davis PhD, poet-scholar and all, UC Davis, Penn Center for Animal Transgenesis and Germ Cell Research, Cornell in 2007).

One assumes you mean "involved in athletics" as "involved in athletics to sustain and grow athletics for athletes and intramuralers and hopefully keep some of the fields near campus." As opposed to "shut down everything except Ultimate Frisbee."

The Cornell Sun news in general is very confrontational. It is so focused on being independent from the university that they seem to think they must go against Cornell on every issue and stir up controversy any time they can.
