For those of us who've been to Boardwalk Hall the last two years for the ECACs, it's hard to imagine it with the stands full. But that's what happened last night. Sounds like almost as much fun as being at MSG for the Cornell-Michigan game.

Newark Star Ledger refutes claims that much of the AC boardwalk washed away in the hurricane. Not so, at least not the part where the casinos and Boardwalk Hall are located.  http://www.politifact.com/new-jersey/statements/2012/nov/25/frank-lautenberg/frank-lautenberg-says-after-hurricane-sandy-much-b/

I always thought the Miss America pageant looked like a full house - though I don't remember when they left Atlantic City they were a staple in the 40's, 50's 60's and 70's.
"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

They left in 2005, but they were irrelevant long before that.  By the late 90's they had succumbed to the Boobs on a Stick period we are still mired in.
