Given that BU rejected you and that you are keeping Topher intact, maybe ajc69  has the winning name ;-) (and I think it fits the character requirements).  If your pup makes it to a fancy dog show, it might be a bit awkward, but hey, no one would forget him.

My Abby (also known as "Abby-Baby" and "Crooked Sit Abby", re-acquired another name, "APITA", for her inability to deal with going outside in the rain that we have had for the past three days.  

I think we're currently leaning toward debonaires tee fee crane

On an off note, I got rejected from bu's residency program, so seriously SCREW BU!!
