As I was driving back from Cornell on Sunday, I was thinking what an extraordinary time this is for Cornell sports. Our women's hockey team is the ECAC champions and is in the Frozen Four. Our men's hockey team is the favorite to win the ECACs this weekend, and barring a collapse, should also make it to the NCAA tournament for the second straight year. Our men's basketball team has won three straight Ivy titles and is a trendy upset pick in the 12 vs. 5 game. And our wrestling team is the Eastern champions and a legitimate contender at this weekend's NCAA tournament. I can't imagine too many other schools which have four different teams which have won championships this winter, at least several of which are legitimate NCAA contenders!

To add to the glory, polo.
Quote from: Here's a quote from the Sun article on Polo. The men's and women's polo teams are no exception to this winning trend. Men's basketball center Jeff Foote and men's hockey goalie Ben Scrivens were among the crowd that saw how both squads are riding to Charlottesville, VA to participate in the National Championships after winning the regional competition last weekend at Oxley Equestrian Center.
Terrible sentence, but certainly nice to see the player support. We had some wrestlers by us at the Harvard games. Here's a link to the article.

Interesting article that was linked to Yahoo's home page - it's the camaraderie of our teams that makes them so good, less so with Andy Noel.
