Greening, high slot, from Mugford and Seminoff.

Great game for the Big Red.

Scrivens got to Greening to celebrate within about 3 seconds of the puck being in the net.  Impressive.

By the way, Greening has one of the most pathetic playoff beards I've ever seen, but the goal certainly makes up for it!:-P

Bring on Yale. With Greening as our captain, we are invincible!!

Can't believe I can't be there. Glad that there is something to miss.

LET'S GO RED!!!

What a game!  What a finish!  Both teams played at an NCAA tournament level tonight.  Zane Kalemba lived up to his billing as a high caliber goalie.  Cornell had more gas in the tank come overtime, but Princeton nearly scored on several sneaky chances.  Cornell's top guns were held in check for a large part of the second and third periods by a very conservative Tiger defense, until Barlow gave us a glimmer of hope with an incredible end-to-end goal.  Riley Nash evoked the likes of Mark McRae with the extra attacker goal in the final minute to send us to OT.  I nominate this game for TBRW "Landmark" status.

I'm slowly making my way through the thread, I watched the game with friends and put the computer away.

The on-ice mikes were fine and at times amusing (Tyler Mugford's "you owe me one" comment late in the 3rd period, followed by a penalty on Princeton for pulling down Barlow).

The TV announcers, however, left much to be desired. I would have preferred just the on ice mikes.

If you were watching via B2 networks then you got your wish at the very end of the game.::pissed::

That's why I wasn't that upset when the B2 audio cut out.  They were pretty weak.

No, I get the NHLN (USA).

Tomorrow night I will probably experience the joys of B2. I will have my other computer set up to stream the RedCast audio so that I won't miss anything when B2 cuts out.

As for weak, the bad line of the night comes at the end when they were recapping the OT winning goal and credited to "Mike Greening".

Excellent game, and great hustle by the Red. I like how they seem to carry most of the play in the OT.

Btw, it was a real "Cornell on TV" game... There was a RichH sighting at the end of the game :-}.

Though Mike isn't correct, I'm pretty sure "Colon" isn't either.

I recorded the game today on my DVR and I even set it to record more time after the supposed end of the game and wouldn't you know it, the stupid thing stops recording about 8 minutes into the second OT. For those of you keeping score at home, that's roughly 2 minutes of playing time before the end of the game... and of course the first half hour of the recording is just nonsense too. Oh well, seeing it live was better even if my fellow alum in the cube next to me (whose feed was 20 seconds ahead of mine) gave it away by running in and almost making me miss the winning goal :-p

If you get TimeWarner check your TV listings. In TWCNY land it's being rebroadcast Wed. 3/25 at 6 PM. I'm sure it will have other times as well. Since they have a 3 hour slot for it they will probably get rid of some in between period crap as well. As an aside when I program important games like this, I've gone to doing separate programing of 2-1 hour extras after the end of the game. That way I get the OTs, yes I know I could still miss a major marathon, and if they are worthless I just erase them when I get home.
