We need to come out strong in this one to help avoid a "let down" performance. On paper we should school them and IMO I think we will.  Seibald and Hurley are coming off their best games of the season.  Don't think Yale can stop them.  And if Harer is only half as good as he was against Duke I don't think we'll give up more than 6-7 goals which should be enough for a win.

How sweet would it be to knock out the Bulldogs in Lax followed by our hockey team doing the same later that night in Albany?

With the outstanding win against the Duke Dukes on Tuesday, this game gives us a chance to build some momentum as the team heads into the Ivy League part of the schedule.  Yale knocked off the Penn Penns 14-13 in a recent game; that was a big improvement for the Yales after getting waxed in a couple of games prior to that.

Last year, it took a 9-8 OT cliffhanger to get past Yale at home, while we ran them right out of their yard the previous season.  I hope we can build on our big improvement in goaler play on Tuesday while continuing with our attack's performance (they're stepping up in the big games this year--a real improvement over '08) and gelling further on what seems to be a solid defensive team.

I'm guessing it's a spoof on those schools who's team name is similar to their school name.  One immediately comes to mind:  the Saint Lawerence Saints.  FarEast?  I'd just hate to go to school at, say, Pepperdine and be called the "Peps".

Anyway...we need to carry the momemtum from our win over the "Dukes" into today's game against the "Yales".  Would be great to see Harer have a solid game in goal once again.  No way we go deep in the playoffs without stellar goaltending.

Seems like last year is repeating itself.  Cornell jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but it's 4-3 Big Red at the half.  From live stats, seems like we've had innumerable turnovers, and Yale has kept our big guns in check.

Seemed a little too close for comfort at the half and then Cornell went from 4-3 lead at the half to 11-6 end of the third en route to a 15-8 final. Workmanlike. Now on to the other Cornell-Yale game. LGR!

Hurley (3-0), Pannell (3-1) and Glynn (2-2) had big games.  Harer with 10 saves I believe.  Solid.  Nice to be coming up home after being on the road for 5 out of the first 6.

Solid win by the Big Red in New Haven.  It was close at the half, but we took control part way through the third and never looked back.  And Germ is right: it's great to be coming home for the next two tilts.

Overall, a great week for the team.  First, we take out the Duke Dukes in Durham for the third straight time (this time we held them to six goals--even less than the seven-goal average from 2006 and 2007 when the Dukes had such a great offense).  Then there's yesterday's win at Yale.  Nice to see Harer building on his great game on Tuesday.

The Dukes took out the G-men yesterday, so the Hoyas are going to be struggling to get a bid this year.
