On the Versus broadcast of the Boston-Montreal game 7.  Tim Thomas was asked whether the Montreal crowd bothers him, and he said "all I hear is Thommmmmmmmas... Thommmmmmmmmmmas.  And anyway it isn't as loud as my UVM days when we played at places like Cornell."  Darren Eliot was the color guy and he laughed.

Just mentioned this in the alumni thread. The sad part was that they said places like Harvard and Cornell. Don't know how Harvard got in there.

Obviously he was referring to Bright when it takes the form of Lynah East.

Can anyone verify if the "Go Start the Bus" chant was correctly credited to Binghamton of the AHL?  I'm not going to say that we started it, but it sounds more collegiate than professional.

Either way, Tim Thomas is still a sieve.

During the Caps playoff games, we were having "red-outs", which did look very impressive in person and on TV ... during the national anthem in game 7, there was a faint rumbling of "RED" at the appropriate time.  I think my goal next season is to have that be an actual cry and to phase out the stupid "O" (for those out of the area, Baltimore chants "O" for the Orioles during the national anthem).  While I appreciate the Baltimore area fan support for the Caps... we ain't a Baltimore team.

Having grown up in that area, I whole-heartedly support anything anti-Oriole.

Was there. Thought about doing the "RED" thing. If we can coordinate next season and try to get that started, that would be awesome :)
