Sounds more like something he's saying just to put an extra wrinkle into the opposition's game-planning.

Frustrating seems to be the leit motif. They're going to have to play their best hockey this weekend against a strong, balanced opponent. These should be two (or three) excellent games.

It seems that both of these teams can be very good or very, shall we say, not so good. We & Q fans really don't know which team is going to show up, for CU or Q. I have a feeling that one team is going to dominate the other. With their inconsistencies, I don't know which one will be the dominator or dominee (is that a word?).

Well it is the playoffs so I think both will be playing somewhere near their best hockey. If that happens, it'll be a very close series. Unfortunately for Cornell, this thing could very well be decided by special teams.

It may be the playoffs, and we should be expecting them to play somewhere near their best hockey. But, let's face it, the Harvard/Dartmouth weekend (Feb 23/24) was a very important weekend for CU, as well. Despite the importance of that weekend, they played less than stellar hockey. This makes me wonder if they have really can "step up" for the playoffs. I'm hoping, but will have to see it to believe it.

I'm hoping, but will have to see it to believe it.[/quote]OTOH, the Q home game two weeks ago was, up until then, the most important game of the season, and they came up big.

They've been inconsistent, whether that's because of youth, injuries, transition to the up-tempo system, lack of a stonewall goaltender, the alignment of the planets... Every season comes down to the playoffs. I just hope everybody gives their best effort.
