Hockey / Re: Lynah East tickets on sale

Nope, I'll wait. Eventually they will sell over-priced tickets for just the Cornell game. I'm fine with standing room if needed (although it galls me to pay the high price and not even get a seat).

According to an email from the ticket office, the Cornell block is Sections 109 and 110. Here's the link they gave: https://www.bigredtix.com/event/2025-ncaa-di-mens-ice-hockey-regionals-zr98ub

I see now! I was misled by the fact that there were a couple of blue seats in Section 16 and by the Dartmouth/Quinnipiac situation. Well, we have tickets in the correct section, just not great seats. Should be fine, but if I'm feeling feisty later this afternoon I may call the box office to see if I can make a swap. I may be willing to play the "I'm old and easily confused by technology" card if it will help.

Good news: Sections have been assigned for in Lake Placid. Cornell is Section 16 (and I was able to buy 2 tickets).

Bad news: Looks like Section 16 is now sold out.

But there are still plenty of tickets in the Dartmouth and Quinnipiac sections and you don't seem to need a code to access tickets in the corner sections.

I think last year the Cornell ticket office provided a code or a link that would let you get tickets in the corners, but the sections aren't assigned until all of the teams have been determined.

Question about the line chart: why on earth is there an "extra skater" when we don't even have the full allotment of players?

For me, the 2003 NCAA Regionals win against BC is the "Holy sh*t!" game. After the win, a bunch of us were standing in the decrepit Dunkin' Center as it sank in that Cornell had finally made it to the Frozen Four. A spontaneous Holy sh*t! cheer broke out - expressing joy, hope, and the realization that we'd have to figure out how to get to Buffalo for the next round.

It has to be winning the ECAC playoffs Schafer's first year as coach. The whole season was a blast, and seeing the coach and Lynah PA announcer dance the macarena during the victory celebration is something I'll never forget!

I enjoyed the Vesce-Baby combo. I swear Vesce made the hit and Baby took the penalty on more than 1 occasion! (It's not his fault he's the biggest and the strongest...)

Sorry, Weder - you were too subtle for me!

I'm surprised no-one brought up the legend of Damian Rocke in the discussion of emergency call-ups.
In the 1996-97 season, he played in 1 game (maybe just 1 shift) and had 15 PIM. You can look it up.

I was able to buy a ticket for an actual seat (via the presale link) on Monday (9/23) - for the same price as standing room. There had been no available seats the first time I looked, so it may help to check periodically. I think tickets go on sale to the general public on 10/1.
