Quote from: ugarteI don't even know if the NLRB has a legal quorum to hear the appeal. (I mean, I think they do but the DC Circuit said that they don't and the Supreme Court heard the recess appointments case in January).

It does as of last summer.

Quote from: A-ronAt what point did the team stop inviting the fans on the ice to celebrate after making it to Placid/Albany/AC? I remember the students used to pour over the glass at the end of the game until they changed the glass around 2000. After that we came in through the zamboni doors until at least 2003. Was it a policy change because of safety concerns?

I think 2005-2006 was the last season.

Quote from: nyc94The game is on CBS College Sports which is part of the basic cable package on Time Warner NYC

I'm pretty sure that's inaccurate.

Modern Apizza is a nice option if you can't get to Pepe's early.

He's eligible, but too short.

Trevor Koenig?  Really?  Man, the ECAC really loves that "spread the awards around" stuff, don't they?
My thoughts also. I wonder whom they will pick from QU.

Reid Cashman? (though IIRC he only played one season in the ECAC)

Quote from: Ronald '09but my impression from watching is that he never wins a big faceoff.

That used to be the case, but he definitely improved last season.

Quote from: billhowardIs beer and wine good enough? Because the pizza is awesome at Pepe's, 157 Wooster St. You'll see two dozen Cornellians there. If you go, arrive early, by 5 p.m., to make sure you get to the game on time. Arrive at 4:30, zero wait. Arrive at 5:30, it could be a half hour. The rink is a drive not a walk of about 5-7 minutes.

The pizza at Modern is even better, and there will be a decent Cornell contingent there, too. And it's even closer to the rink than Pepe's!

I'd also suggest geting to Modern relatively early.
It'll be interesting to see what kind of lines are rolled this weekend.

Greening, Nash, Gallagher, Jillson, Miller, and Esposito were on the Red team and Greening and Nash were on different lines: Nash centered Jillson and Miller; Gallagher centered Greening and Esposito. The Nash line had pretty good chemistry (for a scrimmage) and Miller looked like he has a nose for the goal. For the White, Collins played center which was interesting. Not that any of that means anything...

I'm curious whether we'll see:
Collins - Nash - Kennedy
Greening - Gallagher - Jillson
Nicholls/Kary - Scali - Devin (Moulson)
Miller (Axell) - Roeszler - Esposito (Mihalek)

Or:
Miller - Nash - Jillson
Greening - Collins - Gallagher
Nicholls/Kary - Scali - Devin (Moulson)
Kennedy (Axell) - Roeszler - Esposito (Mihalek)

Would also like to see Esposito gets some runs at center.

What kind of line combos do people think we'll see?
Yikes.  I forgot how little depth we have down the middle.
Kevin DeVirgilio, St. Lawrence. That kid has had my hate since he through one of the most dirty spears I have ever seen during 2005-2006, and has just kept doing it ever since.
Are you referring to when he speared Dan Glover at Lynah?
I'll ask around, but I'm betting the Black Rose or Bull's Head Tavern will be good options. The bar in the J.W. Marriott will also be convenient, but might be pricey.
Along those lines, I'd appreciate any restaurant/bar or time-killing recommendations from folks who are familiar with the area.
