Quote from: stereax on August 26, 2026, 02:28:00 PM@adamw on the ASU player:

What I'm learning ... preseason team workouts that use 3rd parties, often run by ex-Navy Seals, have become very common across the NCAA, across all sports. They use them as team bonding exercises. There's dozens of companies that do this.
This is how Tiger Woods apparently injured his knees and back (running in army boots) and the Pirates had spring training exercises run by a Navy SEAL that got Gregory Polanco injured. Everything is gender.

For a while, Tiger's ex wife Ellen was dating Douglas Murray.
She has a child with an NFL player.

I know we have some fencers here...

Winter is coming.

The Venn diagrams are different enough that we are not all fighting over the same snotty little cunt at Shattuck St. Marys or Northwood.

Quote from: BearLover on August 11, 2026, 01:14:12 PMThe lower ranking assistant coaches bounce around constantly. It's not specific to this season nor to Cornell.
Also all the head coaches try to protect them and get jobs for them -- it's a big network and it all works by who you know.  I have no info but I would not be surprised if Casey worked closely with Robinson and the Omaha coach to make the move happen.

Amateur (ahem) hockey is the last place on earth where people have not become soulless assclowns.  Maybe in ten years we have that to look forward to.

Quote from: Trotsky on August 04, 2026, 12:19:50 PMDon't link to X.
Don't read the Sun.
Until such point as the three-to-five college hockey accounts all move to Bluesky or whatever the fuck, we're going to be using Twitter.

And stop calling it X. It's Twitter.

Actually, it's now Xitter.
Nope. I refuse to acknowledge that.

You do realize how to pronounce that, yes?
Isn't it the same?

Pronounced "shitter".
Or "Shitler."

Higher density of better players vs shorter careers of better players.  It may cancel.

The future may belong to schools who get their guys to stay 4 years, while the factories paradoxically must constantly start over again.

Well know in 20 years.

Providence College freshman goalie Ben Hrebik, who played for OHL Barrie the last two years, recently became academically ineligible because he failed a class

Friars looking to add a goalie before start of season and already have a few targets

Hrebik had been on campus at PC for month of July going to summer school

My wife was going to fail Joey Harrington when he was taking her class at UOregon.  That's when she got a visit.  Her doctoral candidacy was mentioned.

He got a D.

Kudos to PC.  There may not be another school in all D-1 that would do that.

Somebody on that page committed to Franklin Pierce.  I just barely remember it was that one of the schools exploring going to D-1.  Is this it?
