As the unfortunate target of a serial killer, you're beaten and tortured for days. While you're still alive, your body is put into a meat grinder and ground up

Well now....

Hockey / Cornell game pushed back to 6pm?
March 25, 2006, 05:41:51 PM
Was watching the Sucks - Maine game on TWS and saw a marquee saying the Cornell game will start at 6pm. The wording makes me think it's the actual start getting pushed back, not just the TWS feed. Can't say I'm 100% sure though.
I'm going to go out on a HUGE limb here and pick Cornell/Harvard for the Championship ;-)
I would love to see us beat Harvard in the final...

Btw, anyone know when and how can I find out which teams will play the early game on Friday and which the later one?

Think positive guys. If we lose tomorrow, then we might not get a first-round bye in the ECAC playoff.
I was actually thinking about this. I think I saw some posts earlier saying we were guaranteed a buy. However, both Sucks and SLU(t) are 2 points behind us. Since they don't play each other tomorrow, a win for both of them and a loss for us would have all three of us at 27pts a piece. How is it decided then who doesn't get the buy? Does it go by GF in the ECAC RS?
First tie breaker is head to head in the group.

We're 1-0-1 against SLU and 1-1 against Harvard. Making us 2-1-1.

Harvard is 1-1 versus us and 2-0 versus SLU. Making them 3-1.

SLU is 0-1-1 versus us and 0-2 versus Harvard. Making them 0-3-1.

Harvard would get 3rd, we'd get 4th, SLU 5th. We'd get the last bye..

Btw, its "bye", not "buy".
Thanks for clearing that up, Delta.

Not being a native English speaker, what is the origin of it being "bye" and not "buy"?

Actually his very generous offer is about 100 times less than what I would actually consider selling this ticket for. =)

And so have I. He must really want those tickets.

Great to finally get a sweep at home. That said, I don't think we played that well either night.

Thoughts:

 - I am happy with McKee. It's not the McKee of last year, but it's a vast improvement over his play thus far. He seems to be getting his confidence back and is making big saves.

- I really like Seminoff. He seems to have figured out how to play D without getting a tonne of penalties. Both yesterday and tonight he did a great job of getting in the way of shots and made some sweet passes.

- Also really like Salmela, he looked solid.

- Hats off to McCutcheon. He's really on a roll after that ENG earlier in the season. He's working his butt of this season so it's nice to see it finally pay off.

- What's with Sasha? I'm sorta used to O'Byrne fumbling the puck at the point, but Sasha? He just generally seems to be asleep. I hope he's not just half-assing it because he already got drafted.

How so? Is it first-come first-served? Is it an auction? Or is it simply, "she's his Mom and that's it"?

Indeed. Let us not lose sight of who's being ridiculed here. ;-)

Sorry, Pace.  I just think you meant "in a rut."  And while I wouldn't normally pick on someone for a single error like that, the idea of a goalie being "in a runt" evoked too many funny images in my head for me to pass it up completely.

Beeeej[/q]

*looks up "runt" in a dictionary"

Haha. Oh my. That would be quite something...

Thanks for pointing it out, Beeeej. This happens to me sometimes with English expressions that I've heard used but never seen written. English not being my first language and all...
