At the request of fellow Cornell Hockey fans – TAC is pleased to offer the following option for those of you who would like to attend the ECAC hockey  games:

•   You can depart Tompkins County Airport in Ithaca NY and arrive in Atlantic City in 45 Minutes.
(For comparison – Google maps has the drive  posted at 292 miles or 5 hours and 13 minutes each way).

•   Our select group of hockey fans  would be flying in a 9 passenger Falcon business jet, snacks and beverages are provided.

•   No airport check-in, no TSA screening, no hassle – from your car to our jet, to Atlantic city we go.

•   Using a private jet also makes the weekend trip an easy one overnight event – instead of staying two nights in Atlantic City.

•   The cost of flying beyond first class, in a private jet with fellow Cornell Hockey Fans is $1,000 per seat.  This is a 9 seat aircraft, and we will have to sell all nine seats to put this together.

•   We can adjust the flight schedule to the actual game times for the Big red – let's hope we are flying home after Schaf's 6th ECAC Championship!

Seats are available on a first come – first serve basis - so please contact johnp@flytac.com if you would like to participate.

GO BIG RED!

Greening looks as strong on his skates as anyone on this team or opposing teams at Lynah this year.  Maybe you don't see it because he is not as prone to taking runs at people as Sawada is, but this guy keeps his feet in the corners, and in traffic, and can be as physical as anyone out there.  He looks like Hynes.

Some of the identity crisis comes from the players on the ice, not from behind the bench.  Safe to say that the execution or at times lack thereof may not be wholly Schaf's design or personnel flaw - but partly poor execution on the ice by the players.  He has obviously demonstrated both the abitity to have great special teams, teach, and correct chemistry problems.  Let's hope we see evidence before the playoff push.

I would like to see him let Greening run in Bitz's spot for a game and see what happens.  Seems like the guys on the ice (not the bench) try and run too much of the PP through the Captain - which is understandable being that they are young and relatively inexperienced.  Greening can be a beast down low and play Bitzy's puck control game along the boards - but may also be a bit more dynamic offensively, and the young guys might not force it to that spot just for the comfort of having the play on Bitzy's stick.

Scott was every bit as absent as Bitz or moreso.  His usual knack of winning battles for the puck in the corners and in traffic (despite being obviously outsized) was not there.  When he wins those loose pucks and curls off the boards it generates space and offense for his line.  It was not happening Saturday.  His usual ability to find the open man was also below par - maybe partly due to fewer people being open - but some of the other lines were getting better looks for the open guy even if they had trouble handling the puck or converting.
Seems all too often the only guys we are getting open for a shot are on the blue line.  I think tonight I saw three players below the goal line in the offensive zone more than perhaps ever.  Tough to score from there.  Milo and Seminoff were two players most consistently providing effort to spark the offense.

Hey is this still considered Pond Hockey Ari?  I think we need to temper all of Moulson's accomplishments at all levels until Ari declares he is not playing "pond hockey games".

By the same Logic, I guess McCutcheon of 2 years ago will never crack the Cornell lineup.

Moulson had another 2 goals Tuesday night in a 4-3 win.  Ari are you convinced for some reason that he can't continue his development??  Are you planning on knowing everything you are ever going to know when you leave school-or are you going to continue development- much like Moulson will.  He can be an AHL star right now and will continue to get better.  So casting him as a never make the NHL prospect is retarded.

He likely would have made the Pens...he has an outside shot at the Kings by the end of the year.  All it takes is one interview and Avery could be cut, and an injury and Matt could be knocking on the NHL door.

Moulson is an unrestriceted free agent

They should be increased to the current levels. I takes a lot of $$ and effort to get a program where Cornell's is.  I bet almost any program in the country would gladly raise their ticket prices beyond the current Lynah increase if it helped to insure the type of success we all have enjoyed under Schafer's tenure.

This conversation is as unimportant to everyone on a hockey board as it is irrelevant to Sasha going pro.  Go to some geek corner of myspace or someonepleasenoticeme.com unless you are talking about hockey, preferrably Cornell hockey.

Ottawa Senators general manager John Muckler announced today the signing of another three prospects. The club signed one-year deals with defenseman Charlie Cook, and forwards Andrew Ebbett and Ryan Vesce.

You'll probably see him in Hershey...for a long time.  Physically and mentally this guy isn't ready to lead a college team, or cut it in the NHL.
