They should just play at 4:30 after the 2pm SU v. Army game tomorrow at the Dome ... It'd be a great triple-header SU women play UVA at noon. Sounds like a solid day of early season lax if you ask me ...

Look .. I wanted Pannell to win as much as the rest of us, trust me.

But Stanwick almost single-handedly put UVA on his back and brought them back against Bucknell (3G/5A), destroyed us head-to-head (3G/4A), had a solid game vs. Denver (3G/2A) and one could say he laid a pretty big egg with (0G/1A) in the Final. On balance it was a two horse race coming into the NCAA and it would be tough to argue UVA didn't play a tougher schedule with Stanwick injured for some of the season plus all the drama et al. Pannell OTOH, was pretty red hot most of the year but couldn't finish out strong. I think if we played another game he wins ... but we didn't.

the right player won the Tewaaraton ... it's awarded for the entirety of the season. Stanwick ended our season and won a NC ... pretty simple - he wins.

of course that's the way it is ... c'mon Al haven't you figured out yet that it's not about how good the teams are - the seeding is completely about how good your athletic dept. is at scheduling. ::bang:::-P

Any updates?

IIRC there is total game limit per academic year (e.g. 2010-11) a school can play. This includes regular season games, scrimmages and fall ball - the allotment can be determined by each program. I believe this runs in parallel with the number of overseen official practices that must be logged that coaches can run and attend - hence the need for "captains practices." I do not know the exact number but I recall it being something around 18 total and Ivies may have dropped that even lower.

7-6 Red ... first lead of the game - coming from 6-1 down. CU making a big push to take control

we're out shooting them 25-14, SoG 16-8, GBs 19-10 ... it seems like Fiorito is really on today. here's hoping we can keep the 3-0 run going in the second half
