One of the groups in my Meat Science class (2005) served bear chili for their final project. I'm not sure where the bear was skinned and processed.

I know this doesn't help the OP, but on iOS devices you can tap the AA in the url bar and use "Website Settings" to select always "Request Desktop Website." That has made ELF browsing much more enjoyable when I'm on my phone.

Quote from: ugarteThere is a time and a place to complain about an Ivy basketball playoff but that time is not "the week that Cornell will be playing in the Ivy basketball playoff" and the place is not "a Cornell sports forum the week that Cornell will be playing in the Ivy basketball playoff".

I thought that the time to complain in "a Cornell sports forum" was always. My bad. ::bang::

Quote from: French RagePrevious years I thought the playoff was a dumb idea.  Now for some reason I like it.  Funny thing, that.

Having a team that is 6-8 in Ivy play make the playoff is an excellent argument for why it's a dumb idea. However, if a 6-8 Ivy team is going to have a chance to steal two games and get into the NCAA tournament, it might as well be us.

We were watching in my now wife's Collegetown apartment with her roommates. I repositioned on the couch and accidentally sat on the remote. The channel changed, and when we quickly changed it back, Wisconsin was celebrating.

Quote from: DafatoneWe had a cancellation my senior year (2006-07) and I remember it being the first one in a decade or two.

I'm probably wrong, though.

It was Valentine's Day 2007. I had graduated, but was in town to visit my now wife. They didn't cancel classes until 12:30.

Looks like he got injured. Barely made it through the match. I guess that was the catastrophe.

Those of us concerned about the volleyball program are also unhappy with Andy--and have been for a very long time.

I wonder if Kevin App might make sense down the road? He's a former CU basketball captain ('07), and he just landed the Head Coach job at Williams last summer after Assistant positions at Cornell and Army (under Spiker). His first season went okay, going 15-10 overall and 5-5 and in conference. It's probably a little early, but if Courtney gets fired after next season and App has a good season at Williams, I could see him as a solid choice.

There's talk on ESPNU of some sort of scoring mistake and the NCAA is looking into reversing the Realbuto decision.

I lived in one of the track houses, though I was far from a track athlete. I graduated in 2006, and some of my roommates (either my year or the year after) won Heps 7 out of 8 times (indoor + outdoor). The track program has dominated the Ivy League for the last decade now.
