Scrivens mentioned in this post about the Ducks' recent outbreak of the Mumps.

QuoteStill: the mumps is kind of a funny, archaic disease, as far as viral infections go. This is right up there with when Nick Foligno caught consumption, when Alexei Emelin suffered from dropsy, when Olli Jokinen contracted the King's Evil, and when Ben Scrivens missed a month with an imbalance of the humors.

With Grambling's win tonight over Alcorn St, I believe Cornell now holds the longest current D1 losing streak. Southern Utah is the only other school without a D1 win this year but they won 2/23/13, a week more recently than Cornell's last win.

It's been noted that the goal should have been disallowed.  It was a delayed offsides and you can't score a goal on a shot on goal from the shoot-in.  Definitely heartbreaking and a bad call.

Campbell led the league in minutes played (partly because he took so few penalties). He's the front-runner, but Moulson isn't far behind given his prodigious scoring ability.

As expected, Moulson balances Bitz out for Cornell sportsmanship and is nominated for the only award in professional sports with "Lady" in the name:

What's wrong with having a strong Union in the ECAC?  All we do is complain that weak in conference opponents hurt RPI/KRACH/PWR, and now we have an opportunity to have two nationally recognized teams.  I hope they all stay and the ECAC builds on the success of Union/Cornell this spring.

Melrose has already called the Union goalie "Grossman" and said that Western Michigan was playing.

Who wants to sign the RPItv for NCAA tournament petition?

Quote from: Jeff Hopkins '82They were all such easy questions, too.
Eastern bias...

The questions basically amounted to:

Which is the oldest university in the US?
Which Ivy League School is in Providence?
Who plays football at Franklin Field?
Which Ivy League school is in New Hampshire?
Where is the Woodrow Wilson School of International Affairs?

Don't you mean the answers?

Moulson checks in at #49 on Bucci's top 100 NHL players list.

Quote49. Matt Moulson: You want 30 goals? Here you go. This guy is going to get 30 for the third year in a row. Some people know just where to go and what to do to be successful.

I don't think there is less in terms of volume.  It's more concentrated which aligns with the studies showing increasing binge drinking.

Current Bracketology has Ivy Champ (UPenn) as a 16 seed and Harvard as a 9 seed.  Will be interesting to see if Harvard makes it through the conference with 2 losses if the Ivies get 2 teams in the tourney.  Highly unlikely in the end, but still fun to watch this year given the hot start.
