Quote from: KeithKWas there any Q&A or was it just him speaking to the assembled 86'ers?  Given the setting I kind of assumed it would be the latter.

There was plenty of Q&A.  Remember, this was not just a random group of Cornellians, these were his classmates. Duanne Moeser was also there, and the funniest comment by the classmate introducing Schafer was something like - If Schafer didn't agree to speak, then we would get Moeser to speak and tell the stories that Schafer didn't want told.

Mike Manaster introduced.  He was in Schafer's "hockey class" but I believe only played JV.  Duanne Moeser has lived in Germany for over 25 years, first as a player and now manages a team.  He said he comes back every few years for hockey alumni events and this was a good chance to catch reunion too.  They did get off the story of driving a car down libe slope.  Both Mike and Duanne claimed to be only passengers.  While driver was booked by Cornell police in Barton Hall Duanne claimed to have stolen the christmas lights off the tree.

I believe I saw a similar turnover by Wedman during one of the exhibition games

Quote from: andyw2100Omaha definitely had their chances, but the one goal they did score was kind of a flukey goal. One of our guys (I don't recall who) fanned on a shot from near the blue line resulting in a 2 on 1 the other way.

Jacob MacDonald.  He had an up and down game, to put it mildly.  He helped set up our goal, then his whiff set up the UNO goal, and then he had a brutal turnover that led to the UNO chance where they had a 90% open net right on the doorstep and somehow pinged the post with the rebound going right to Gillam.  Last Friday I thought Jake looked fantastic.  He certainly seems to be out there all the time, so for good or ill he's going to have a huge impact on our D.

Are you sure this was MacDonald? I think it was Wedman. If I'm thinking about the same portion of that play, it happened right in front of the visitors penalty box (& in front of where I sit) and it was Wedman who misplayed the puck there.

Yup: I was about to say the same thing. I saw the turnover clearly from L, and it was definitely Wedman, not MacDonald.

It looked like Bardreau was hurting pretty bad near the end of the game.  Did anyone else notice and does anybody have information on that?

Quote from: jek86in listening again Schafer specifically refers to "a couple of UPPERCLASSMEN" who came out not ready to play in the first period and were then benched for the 2nd and 3rd.  He then threatened it will be the last time they wear a Cornell uniform if they come out to play like that again.  Naturally I'm curious who he is referring to.  Anybody notice who sat and is now skating on thin ice...so to speak..
That's not a threat its a fact # DagsFault

thanks, got it.. now I don't have to watch that game again and listen to that girl screaming SHOT!!
