I was able to get a hold of someone through the link above.

He said he would contact someone and let them know, he lied.

I contacted ESPN+ to complain about the production of the game.  Who produces a game using mostly ice level cameras and up close shots.  One of the most frustrating games I have tried to follow.  Last year at MSG it started this way and got better shortly after the game started.  Not this year.  Very frustrating.  It is so bad.

ESPN+ has live chat in the support section.

Hockey / Denver @ Cornell #2. 12/6
December 06, 2014, 08:03:01 PM
Whomever is directing the cameras tonight seems to be the same moron from the Penn a State game.  Camera operators not paying attention to the game and missing action is also a problem.  Why?

Denver is playing with much more intensity tonight.

McCarron ran his mouth about a questionable penalty call on Jared Fiegl with just over 2 minutes to go.  Lucky it did not cause a 5 on 3.  Not at all smart, being a senior in a close game, I hope Schafer lets him hear about it, McCarron should know better.  Fantastic team win.

It certainly appeared the refs fuse was very short, or McCarron was extremely eloquent using few words.

IMHO it does not matter who centers Lowry and McCarron, saw that first hand at Princeton.  Those two are grinders who would rather jam the puck into the net than beat the goalie with a shot.  Not a lot of give and go.  Cycle, jam and cram is more like it.  Weidner, Kubiak and Bardreau centered those two and things really did not change much depnding on who centered them, unfortunatrely they are a very, very good college checking wingers.  At Princeton it looked like Fiegl and Freschi had good chemistry, yet did not play together at Quinnipiac. Schafer kept line combinations pretty consistent throughout Q game and played Anderson more on D, unlike the musical chairs line combinations at Princeton.  I would like to Yates on the power play, he has the hands and sense of a scorer.  Like I said in the Princeton recap, Yates needs to improve his fitness and things will happen for this kid.  I also agree with what many have said, Schafer has opend things up. the D really pushes the play and in the defensive zone the system is still there.  The effrort is there, the hustle is there, this is one of the best skating Cornell teams I have seen from top to bottom.  They are not going to be out skated by anyone.  Generating better scoring chances is coaching, it is also a mindset, Shafer was no Lodboa as a player and Topher Scott learned from Schafer.  I think it is time to hire someone outside the traditional Cornell way of doing things.  Someone with an offensive mindset to counterbalnce Schafers excellent defensive system.    Better to have these issues now than at the end of the season.

Hockey / Re: Friday: Princeton 2 Cornell 1

Just got home from Princeton, even though it was a loss I did not feel disappointed nor discouraged about this edition of the Big Red. Attendance for the game was pretty close to 50-50 as far as who you were rooting for.  No bands for either side and Princeton tried to bribe students to go to the game by offering free t-shirts and pizza, less than a 100 showed up.  The ice for the game was terrible, by the third period it was still wet eight minutes into the period, gamesmanship?  I would not doubt.

Early power plays should have allowed the Red to take control of the game.  The entries into the offensive zone were excellent and led to nice set ups with puck control. As others have noted it stops there.  Generating scoring chances is not something that comes easy.  I agree some shots on net, not in the goalies breadbasket, would lead to rebounds for some ugly goals.  Cornell had many shots that ended up hitting the goalie in the gut or going wide.  Shafer used 3 different power play combinations trying to get something to click.

One main reason not to get too frustrated right now is the depth at forward CU has.  Cornell has 3 lines that generate good forechecking and the 4th line is not far behind.  Shafer almost had everyone on the team taking shifts on different lines trying to get a goal.

McCarron and Lowery stay together with different centers most of the time.  Fiegl and Feschi also play very well together, tenacious pair.  Everyone else seems to still be looking for chemistry.  John Knisely is a fearless little guy not afraid to mix it up with anyone.

As I have said before Joakim skates at a level above all other defensemen, too bad he was injured, Jake McDonald continues to get better and is even more mobile this year.  On the forward end no one can keep up with Bardreau.  Cole looks stronger and faster and tries to make plays some of his team mates do not even see coming.  The headiest and most offensive minded player on the ice tonight was Trevor Yates.  The puck just finds him.  He is not afraid to shoot and is a creative passer.  He is not yet in ECAC condition but he will be in time.  Yates also looks like he is learning defensive zone responsibility.

Fiegl and Bliss are extremely accomplished freshman players, very solid, with quick decision making abilities.  Wedman is not far behind, like Wilcox two years ago at the beginning of the season, he is adjusting to the speed of the game.

Schafer for the most part rotated 5 defensemen.  Anderson got a shift here and there. P. McCarron and Wilcox are solid contributors who make good decisions most of the time.  The defensemen are really pushing the play this year,  I hope that continues.

Gillam deserved a 5-1 victory tonight, he was solid behind his D.

Princeton is so much better coached this year.  Talent wise they do not match up well with Cornell and it showed all night.  Cornell controlled play and had a wide advantage in time of possession.  Princeton played like an outgunned premier league team just hoping for a tie.  They were disciplined filled passing and shooting lanes clogging up the front of the net.  This defense really stymied Hilbrich much of the night.  Princeton's goalie got hit with a lot of pucks.  He did make 3 great saves, one being very similar to the lone goal CU scored late, stopping P. MCCarron on a cross ice one timer in the 3rd.

Cornell looked as good as any team from their defensive zone to the opposing blue line.  What happens in the offensive zone is a mystery.  Hiring an offensive coordinator may not be a bad idea, or a shooting coach.

Cornell's Clint Lewis Returns to Junior Hockey
By Chris Dilks

The junior hockey season is nearly underway with players reporting to team training camps, and team rosters are starting to trickle out.

The Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL released their training camp roster today, and included on the roster is Cornell defenseman Clint Lewis, confirming that he will play junior hockey this year, rather than returning to the Big Red for his sophomore season.

Lewis came to Cornell out of the NTDP program. He appeared in all 32 games for the Big Red last season, registering one goal and one assist on the season. Over the summer, Lewis participated in the USA Hockey World Juniors Evaluation camp as a candidate to play for the US World Junior team later this year.

First an email for the 1 dollar refund, then a separate email for the 9 dollar refund.
While not quite as good as ILDN, the overall quality was much better tonight. There still were a half dozen freezes in each period, lasting 10 seconds or so... but not every 15 seconds like last night.
In the end of the third the audio play by play was about 15 seconds ahead of the video, which was really annoying so I just turned down the sound.

I had the same problems at my end.  Still not the picture quality of the regular season from lynah.  AO still sucks.  This is unacceptable.  The ECAC has done a crappy job.

Yes it is an ECAC deal.  My iPhone picture also sucked.  I ended up on a desktop and even that picture does not match the regular season quality.  It's Redcast all over again.  America One obviously cut the bandwidth for the game too.  I do not think AO was ready for mobile or apple devices.

Once again America One is horrible.  All year the broadcast from Lynah were very good.  Now we get to the playoffs and they need more money and change to America One.  Do they even break even on this deal?  I pay an additional dollar for iPad access, which is normally put up on the big screen, not a big deal.  But it doesn't work. Right now the screen is black.  When it does come on the buffering is constant.  No video longer that 15 seconds before freezing.  And the picture is not clear.  What a bunch of shit.  Why not let us pay and view it the same way we did during the regular season, it worked very well.
